I have a baby sister here, and she’s only a year old and very rambunctious.  Sometimes I’ll play with her, but a lot of the time she just gets on my nerves.  I know she can’t help it, though.  And she also isn’t very smart.  Unfortunately, I can’t go outside without being on my harness and leash because my little sister isn’t smart enough to stay safe outside so I can’t go out on my own.  I can take care of myself, but I understand that it’s not fair for me to be able to go out by myself and not her.

I’ve found these very nice ottomans to sharpen my claws on, but for some reason, my mother doesn’t like it.  I don’t know why.

I think that’s a pretty good update for now.  Oh yeah, I almost forgot.  My mother left some sweaters sitting on the back of the couch and when I’m not with her, I’m on them because they smell like her and I can curl up in them when she has to leave.  It’s not as good as having her here with me, but it’s better than nothing.

This video was recorded by my father the night before they left. That’s my father’s Kenneth Cole bag, and he didn’t even scold me for scratching on it a little, because I was being so cute. My father is the one controlling Da Bird, which is the only toy I’ll play with. I highly recommend it. (I am not getting paid to say that, it is just a great toy.)

That was the night we opened presents, since they were going away for the actual holiday. Us cats got a bunch of toys, treats and some catnip spray, which is really fun. I hope everyone had a good Christmas and has a happy and safe New Year’s.

I found that someone had taken the catnip bag off of the kitchen counter (major no-no, we aren’t allowed up there) and tore a big hole in it, getting all over the kitchen floor. Upon investigation, Baby, Steve-O and Sheesha were covered in the pilfered nip!

However, my mother was able to catch the perpetrator in the act. It was Steve-O! Naughty, naughty Steve-O!

See, isn’t she silly? That’s the cage that my little brother goes in when his big one is getting cleaned. Then Baby decided she should go inside and see what it would be like to be Pumpernickel. Only he’s a lot smaller, so it is really cramped for her.

I live in Idaho, and was adopted from a shelter over four years ago by my mother. They kept calling me “Muffin” at the shelter, but my mother knew my name right away! I was ten months old then. I’m almost five now. I’m a British Shorthair, with dilute torbie markings. My mother always tells me how beautiful I am, and she must be right because when we went to the vet for a check up a little while ago, everyone there was telling me the same thing!

I live with my human father and grandmother and my three feline sisters, a feline aunt and an adopted guinea pig brother. My mother visits me a lot, and brings me lots of treats and toys (even though I won’t play with them), but she lives in the country where it wouldn’t be safe for me. Even though I’d have all the mice and birds I could catch, there are foxes and dogs and coyotes and fast cars and cows and snakes and elk and sometimes even moose! So I don’t get to live with my mother.

Well, I’m not sure what else to talk about, but I can sure tell you what I like. I like catnip, greenies, cardboard scratchers, my mother, brushings, pettings, belly rubs, car rides, tuna juice, my futon, sleeping with my mother, snuggling under blankets, licking my mother’s hair when she’s sleeping, chin scratches and being told how pretty I am.
